Rowan and his Firemen "Brothers" help patients at Oschner Children's Hospital in New Orleans again.

The day after all of the festivities at the 2015 New Orlean's Kidd's Kids Golf Tournament, Rowan, Zoe and I met up with Rowan's Firemen 'Brothers' for another special project that is close to our hearts.  It was the second year in a row that The Rowan Jameson Windham Foundation purchased and delivered toys, books, puzzles, activities and art for patients at Oschner Children's Hospital in New Orleans, with help from local firemen.

This year we went with a "Community Helper" theme for most of the patient gifts, honoring doctors, nurses, firemen, veterinarians, etc.  Here are some of the items we delivered...

Rowan was so excited as we headed up the elevator at Oschner Hospital for Children.

A huge thank you to Matt, Bobby and Danny, 3 of the local firemen who helped us again this year...

...as well as to their beautiful wives and children who joined us too:)

(Daniel and Rowan, who have both spent more than their share of time inside hospitals.)

The nursing staff was so nice, and extremely grateful to receive the donations.

Rowan shared a little bit about why he does this with the nurses.  One of them said "Well, let me shake your hand little man!  You're a hero!"

We went out to lunch with our families afterwards, and started talking about what we can do when we come back next year.  Looking forward to it!

I'm sure Rowan will come up with a lot more great ideas by then...
